What I think of Education

Education is the process of learning valuable lessons as well academically as socially and otherwise. Education is supposed to prepare children for the world that they are soon to enter so they can lead a successful and happy life.

  1. I somewhat agree that education is about learning valuable lessons, but I think there is more to education then just these lessons. Education also teaches us valuable skills that are necessary when we as students finally head out into the work force. Thus preparing us to lead successful and happy lives. However i do not believe education can determine whether are lives are happy or not. That has to do with ones self.

  2. In my opinion, we are educated by the whole society. Since we were young, the education taught us how to set up the method of communication and thinking. Education, throughout the whole life, should be the process of self-development.

  3. I agree with you that education's purpose is to teach you lessons academically and socially. It is important to stress the social aspects as well because without them we wouldn't really be able to communicate with others. I'm not 100% sure whether or not education's purpose is to give the educated a successful and happy life. I am not disagreeing with your point however I say this because we all have different definitions of what successful and happy are.

  4. I agree with you, but education is not only to prepare children. It's to prepare everyone. Children are definitely not the only one's who can benefit from an education. Reading a book at any age is a learning experience. You learn about the characters and their situation and you try your best to relate to them. It's an excellent experience. Education never stops. It only stops when you stop trying to learn.

  5. I agree that education is learning academically and socially. However, it's not just these things. Not only children needs education, but also adults. Education is for everyone and every ages. We just start since we are young.

  6. As you said, education should prepare children to deal with the world. Not only math, history, and geography (but these are very important too); but also some hands on experience.
